Honestly, it really depends - and that’s a good thing! I don’t stick to a set clock because every maternity family,, and newborn session has its own rhythm. I like to let your little ones lead the way... sometimes they’re ready for the camera right away, sometimes we take a few pauses.  Most family and maternity sessions land around 45–60 minutes, while newborn sessions are closer to 90 minutes.

Once Upon a Baby is offered as a bundled collection, with pricing structured to support families throughout the year rather than all at once. A retainer secures your collection, with remaining payments spaced alongside your sessions.

You’ll select 25 fully edited favorites from your gallery after each session, with the option to add the full collection if desired.

This is completely normal and always expected. Little ones don’t need to perform or be “on” for beautiful photos to happen. I approach every session with patience, flexibility, and a gentle, child-led pace. We take breaks when needed, follow your child’s cues, and allow space for comfort and connection.

For newborn sessions, everything moves even slower. There’s plenty of time built in for feeding, soothing, diaper changes, and snuggles, so nothing ever feels rushed or stressful.
